Our 5 Bay RAIDFrame system directly attaches to your fileserver using a single, industry standard eSATA cable. You can connect it to any eSATA Host Bus adapter that is multi-drive capable. The eSATA port does not need RAID functionality because each RAIDPacTM catridge has its own internal "in-line" controller that supports RAID 5 or RAID 0. No software, no drivers, as portable as a standard SATA hard drive! Imagine, with a single click and a pull, being able to HOT SWAP an entire RAID 5 array and carry it away for off-site storage while 4 other independant RAID 5 arrays remain on-line. Imagine a removable piece of media which can provide 3 TB of redundant storage or 4.5 TB of RAID 0 storage. You don't have to imagine any more. RAIDFrame® is all these things and many more.
- SUPER SIZE Data storage. Up to three 1.5TB drives are supported in RAIDPac cartridges yielding a whopping 4.5 TB in a single RAIDPac cartridge for a *RAID 0 configuration! Or, 3 TB in a redundant RAID 5 configuration!
- Compact Cartridge. RAIDpacs measure only 9.25" X 6" X 3.25" (including handle) and weigh only 5 to 9 lbs each depending on the number and drive types they're equipped with.
- No RAID software. Because of RAIDPac cartridges unique in-line controller, there is no software, drivers or any additional configuration required. Plug the RAIDFrame system into a multi-drive capable eSATA controller and you're ready to go! Like our other popular High-Rely products, you can use the RAIDFrame system with most backup software so no training is necessary.
- No Administration. Like our other High-Rely products, the RAIDFrame system is directly attached so it inherits the security properties of the server or workstation it is attached to. Unlike NAS units which are their own servers and often require seperate configuration and administration.
- FAST. Redundant RAID 5 backup can write up to *120 GigaBytes per Hour in RAID 5 and faster in RAID 0.
*Performance will vary depending on many factors within your configuration.
- Flexible.
RAID 5 (redundant protection) and *RAID 0 (speed and capacity) RAIDPac cartrdiges are available. Each RAIDPac cartridge contains three standard SATA hard drives and can be configured in *RAID 0 or RAID 5 RAID levels.
- Disaster Proof. Even if your entire RAIDFrame system is destroyed, each RAIDPac cartridge's data can be accessed by any computer with industry standard power connections and SATA ports. Also, 1 bay RAIDFrame systems with USB and eSATA connectivity allow for easy data access at your off-site storage centers.
- Low power consumption. A fully loaded RAIDFrame with 5 RAIDpacs containing 15 1.5 TB drives total and under load only draws 200 Watts, about 1.7amps, producing only 700 BTU's of heat.
- 4U Rack Mount. Measures 17.5" x 17.25" x 7" (no feet assuming rack-mount). Unloaded weighs ~ 40 lbs. Comes with mounting rails and ears.
The RAIDFrame system is the ultimate power house of Data Backup. With its tremendous capacity, speed and portability, nothing will stop you from retrieving your valuable data fast.
